Hodges RC Glider Site
The Torrey Pines Gulls has worked with the City of San
Diego to obtain a permit for radio-controlled soaring
activities at the Lake Hodges slope site. Please follow
the rules below so that we can maintain our permit with
the City. Enjoy this great slope site!

Rules (as of
February 13, 2002)
1)
All pilots must be members of the Torrey Pines
Gulls or Palomar RC Flyers, carry membership in the
Academy of Model Aeronautics and abide by the Academy of
Model Aeronautics Safety Code.
2)
Aircraft are limited to radio-controlled model
glider operations as defined in San Diego Municipal Code
section 63.0201. No motorized aircraft are allowed.
3)
Flight activities are restricted to no more than
five (5) gliders in the air at one time.
4) Pilots shall confine all ground activities to the
launch/landing area near the park bench and designated
hiking trails within the flying area. Do not disturb the
natural setting and remember to clean up your trash when
leaving.
5)
The site must be used in a manner that does not
create a nuisance or disturb the quiet enjoyment of
persons in the surrounding area.
6)
No signs shall be displayed at the site without
the prior written consent of the City Manager.
