Membership |
Torrey
Pines Gulls Radio Control Soaring Society, Inc. (TPG) is
a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to support
and encourage member participation in the hobby/sport of
model sailplane flying. TPG is an AMA chartered club and
therefore proof of membership in the Academy of Model
Aeronautics (AMA) is a prerequisite for TPG membership.
An AMA membership card or a receipt of paid dues
fulfills this requirement. Membership in AMA
provides liability and property damage insurance while
operating model aircraft safely and with the permission
of the site owner. Note: You are required by City of San
Diego to annually sign a liability waiver form before
permission to fly at Torrey Pines Glider Park will be
granted. You may also encounter a similar requirement to
fly at various other sites.
The following form may be used to
apply for membership in TPG. Dues are as follows:
• Renewal membership prior to January of the membership year: $60
• January through April: $60
• May through September: $50
• October through December (a jump start on the next year): $60
• Juniors (age 15 and under): $5
• Discount for participating in up to two work days: ($10 each or $20 total)
These must have occurred during the previous year, before membership request.
Current (not discounted) dues for
2009-2010 are $60.
The results of the form
will be electronically submitted to TPG's membership chairman. You will also receive an
email of the form results as a confirmation. Please be sure to provide your email address
on the application.
