Become a Member

The Torrey Pines Gulls Radio Control Soaring Society, Inc. (TPG) is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to support and encourage member participation in the hobby/sport of model sailplane flying. TPG is the second oldest RC soaring club chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). AMA membership is a prerequisite for TPG membership and can be verified here: AMA Verification. Membership in AMA provides additional liability and property damage insurance while operating model aircraft safely and with the permission of the site owner.

Dues are as follows:

• Full Members – $60 per year.
• Junior rate up to age 19 – $5 per year.
• Student rate age 19 or older – $30 per year.
• Receive a credit of up to $20 on your membership dues. $10.00 per each half-day working at any TPG flying field

New members joining in the first six months of the calendar year pay the full rate. Those joining in July through September pay half the applicable rate. New members joining in October through December pay the full rate but their membership is considered paid through the end of the following year.

Step 1
Fill out your Membership Registration.

Please submit this form before completing payment via PayPal. Completed membership registration forms are sent electronically to the TPG Membership Chairman. You will also receive an email as a confirmation. Please be sure to provide your email address on the application.

Step 2
Send Payment via PayPal.

Please pay online using PayPal, which allows payment using PayPal, debit or credit card. If however, you choose to pay by check or cash, please email the Membership Chairman at: membership@torreypinesgulls.org to receive a membership application form. When the form is completed, please mail your membership application and payment using the provided pre-addressed return envelope.
